Six killed across Ukraine as strikes hit several regions

Russian aerial strikes killed at least six people and injured 26 others across Ukraine, officials said. The casualties were reported in Kyiv, Kherson, Donetsk and Sumy regions.

A Ukrainian drone attack separately hit a house in Russia’s southern Krasnodar region, killing two children and injuring two adults, according to regional authorities.

Where the latest casualties were reported

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said one person was killed in a warehouse fire in the Darnytskyi district after an overnight Russian ballistic missile attack. In the Kherson region, Russian strikes killed three people and wounded 13 after damaging homes and apartment buildings, the regional military administration reported.

In Donetsk region, one person was killed and seven were wounded, including five in the front-line city of Kramatorsk, Governor Vadym Filashkin said. In Sumy region, a drone strike on a house killed one man, while six other people were injured in separate drone attacks, regional officials said.

Shopping-centre attack remains a major focus

The latest strikes came as rescue workers continued searching the charred wreckage of the Sunny Gallery shopping complex in Kryvyi Rih, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s hometown. Dnipropetrovsk regional Governor Oleksandr Hanzha said on Saturday morning that the death toll from Friday’s attack had risen to 16, with more than 130 people wounded, including 22 children.

Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, said Russian forces used jet-powered Shahed drones against the city’s largest shopping centre. He said a second wave struck about 30 minutes after the first, allegedly targeting emergency crews responding to the scene.

Strikes also reported in Kherson and Russia

In the city of Kherson, a drone strike set a shopping centre on fire, but no casualties were reported. The incidents add to a series of attacks affecting civilians away from the front line.
